The Betta Spa - A more Natural Home

Betta fish are warm water fish.  Betta fish prefer water temperatures at 80° F or slightly hotter.  While they can survive temperatures near 60° F they often become inactive below 75° F.   Keeping Betta fish below 75° F increases the chances of sickness and decreases the life expectancy of these beautiful fish.

Betta fish like their space, and are much happier and healthier when living in larger volumes or water.  Betta fish are found, in the wild, in warm shallow, but extensive, water systems.  While they can survive for short periods of time in small volumes of water, allowing them to survive Nature's fluctuations, as well as, shipping to pet shops around the world, they are much happier and healthier in larger volumes of water, such as in containers with volumes of 1.5 gallons (6 Liters) or more.   Larger volumes of water reduce fluctuations in water temperatures between day time and night time, slows the build up of toxic fish waste products, and provides room for swimming, and aggressive displays which keep the Betta fish healthy.

Designed for Beginners & Enthusiasts

The Betta Spa was designed for both experienced Betta fish enthusiasts as well as new Betta fish owners.  The Betta Spa is quick and easy to setup: just place the Betta Spa Stand on a flat surface and place the Glass Spa on the Stand.  Fill the Spa with water and add the appropirate amounts of Betta Spa water conditioners.  Plug the stand into a wall outlet (120 V/60 Hz) and wait until the water is near 80° F.  After acclimating your Betta to this water put him or her in the Spa.

Temperature Settings:  If the room temperature is between 70° F and 75° F use the Betta Spa High setting.  If the room temperature is between 75° F and 80° F use the Betta Spa Low setting.  If the room temperature is 80° F or higher unplug the Spa Stand which turns it completely off.

Practical Tips: Use the High setting at night and the Low temperature during the day or use the Low setting during the night and the Off setting during the day.  Use of a simple lamp on/off timer allows automatic Low/Off or High/Off settings to be scheduled.
